One really great advancement he's made just recently is his ability to balance his upper body while sitting up. He still needs some support, but I was so proud today when he reached forward for a toy and was able to sit himself back up with even a toy in hand.

We bought Noah a doorway jumper last week and I've put him in it a dozen or more times, but he just doesn't get it. He pulls his hands in and hangs there, chewing on the rim of it. I've tried to demonstrate (wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall for that?), but he just isn't catching on. Oh well. I'll keep trying and maybe one day it will click.

Solid foods!
Noah has been actively trying to steal our plates at dinner, so tonight we gave him a little plate with cut up bananas. It turns out, he was more interested in the plate than the banana pieces on it. David fed him one to give him an idea of what they were all about. And while he ate it and seemed to enjoy it, he didn't start grabbing the pieces like we thought he might. We fed him a few more pieces, but he just doesn't seem too interested at this point. We'll try more later, but thought you may enjoy these pictures of his first bites of banana tonight!

We've had fun with grandparents in town over the last few weeks! Noah always has a great time with them and David and I enjoy the company and the help. One of the most wonderful benefits is being able to leave Noah with them for a nice meal out of the house or even just a quiet nap without having to worry about the little guy. We love our parents! Here are some pictures from the visits.
