We got a little, plastic pool over the weekend and Noah and I went out today to enjoy it. I got him in a little swimmer diaper, put on his swim trunks and got him all coated in sunblock. And of course the fun only lasted ten minutes. I was surprised at his reaction in the pool. He didn't seem scared and wasn't terribly clingy, but was just really cautious. He never sat down in the water, but he got pretty close. We started out with me sitting in the pool and he sat in my lap so he was completely out of the water. (Keep in mind there was no more than 4 inches of water and it was fairly warm water. I thought it was pretty inviting.) I tried to splash around a little to show him how much fun it could be, but I don't think he bought it. He finally decided he was okay standing in the water. And then at the end he sat on my foot, which put his bottom in the water, but not too deep. He never got really upset, but just seemed bored after a while, so we went inside. We'll keep trying and I think he'll really start to enjoy the pool!

Happy 1/2 Birthday!
It's hard to believe that Noah is 6 months old today. We celebrated with a lunch out with friends and with a little party in the afternoon. I made some cookies and a party hat for Noah. He didn't seem to notice the special occasion, but I'm sure as he gets older he will. Later tonight he chewed up his hat into a pulpy mess, as his own little celebration!

Happy Mothers Day!
Noah has begun to give kisses. I'm pretty sure he is intentional about it, but its funny. All he does is open his mouth really wide (keep in mind his chin is usually quite slobbery) and then plants his face right into your cheek. It's so cute and sweet! He also likes to kiss himself in the mirror. Its adorable! David caught this big kiss on Mothers Day.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Noah's interest in our food has really grown. So periodically, we give him something that he's interested in to see what he'll do with it. Today, I gave him a tortilla that I had partially eaten and that he was dying to have. All he did was kind of gum it up, but he was so proud to have it!
