However, today we were out grocery shopping early and the store wasn't crowded so I got a normal cart and let him push around a kids one. Somewhat surprisingly, he did pretty well! He walked behind me and had pretty good control of the cart. I'm sure we were quite a sight! The only problem today, since he was behind me, was randomly placing things in his cart. He ended up with Kool-Aid, some kind of pasta, sprinkles for decorating cupcakes, and a bottle of honey!

Noah's Grocery Cart
One of our local grocery stores has little carts for kids to push. Noah has always been eager to get one, but we rarely do. When I've let him push one in the past, he gets really upset when I try to help guide the cart. He thinks he should be able to push it on his own, even though he's had very little control, likes to run with it, and if he's behind me, tends to clip my heels with it. So we usually end up abandoning his little cart in the store in frustratation.

Spring has sprung
Here are just a few of the pictures we've taken over the past few weeks. So sorry we're late in putting them up!
The weather has really warmed up and Noah is enjoying the playground at the park just about every day. His favorite seems to be the swings now that he can be on it by himself.

We had a great visit with Nana and Poppy! We got to see a concrete mixer truck and watch Poppy and Bryan pour a driveway, we went to the playground, and here we are at the zoo!

The other day we were out for a walk when we came across several cherry picker trucks, which Noah calls "Up High Trucks." We've had a lot of electrical work done in our neighborhood lately, so he's had plenty of opportunities to watch these guys and trucks work and he absolutely loves them. You can see he just happened to have his I Love Trucks book with him. I was taking this picture with him in front of his favorite truck, the Commander, when the workers saw us and asked if he'd like to stand on the truck. Noah's still talking about how he got to stand on the Commander!

Sorry for the lack of posts recently! With all the construction going on, we've forgotten to update it.
Noah loves the new apartment, especially his playroom upstairs. There's plenty of room for him to play with all his toys, even when we build a large train track.
He especially enjoys the new animal pancake griddle Nana got for him. It makes 7 small pancakes each with an animal face on them. Although the picture below may suggest otherwise, his hand really wasn't that close to the griddle. He asks for "animal pancakes" almost every day now!
We promised we wouldn't post a lot of house updates, but a few people have been asking for news. Construction has been underway for 2 weeks, and they are making rapid progress. We went by today and the rooms are all framed out, the Hardieplank is on, and the roof is about 1/2 done. It looks great, and we've posted a few pics below.
Noah especially enjoys all the construction, especially walking on the piles of dirt and sand. Lately he's been taking his shovel and filling up his buckets with dirt. He could spend hours doing that!
