Texas!

Noah and I just got back from a great week visiting family in Texas. We had so much fun and miss everyone already. Noah did amazingly well on the flights there and back. We had a backpack full of books, toys and snacks to occupy our time on the flight, but his favorite thing by far, was looking out the window during take-off. His face would just light up as we barreled down the runway and he watched us race past everything. Who knows, with his apparent love for speed maybe he'll become a race car driver!

Even in Texas, Noah maintained his love for all activities outside even though it was near 100 degrees every day. We played in the backyard, went to some parks, went swimming several times and had a picnic one day at the park.

We had a blast in Texas, but are glad to be home. Thanks for letting us share some of these glimpses into our trip.

I was trying to pack the night before we left and Noah kept climbing into the suitcase!

We're at the gate waiting for Noah's first plane ride. There weren't many airplanes in sight, but he loved watching the luggage trucks and all the activity going on right outside the window.

Noah had a great time in the backyard with Grandpa, Grandma and Kim. He spent a lot of time in the wagon with Kim, being pulled by Grandpa. He especially loved it when Grandpa ran across the yard pulling them!

Here we are swimming at several different local pools. On our first trip, Noah refused to wear both his hat and sunglasses, but it was so bright outside that he kept his left hand up to his eye the entire time. And I really mean the entire time we were there.

Noah and Kim had a great time playing together all over the house!

We went shopping one morning and ate breakfast out.

After our visit to the art museum one morning, we had a picnic lunch and played at the park.

On our last day in Texas, we celebrated Kim's birthday and made cookies together to have with her birthday dinner. Noah even got to roll out some dough and use the cookie cutters!

Here we are unpacking at home. Noah is giving David a present that we worked on on the flights home. It's hard to see in the picture, but Noah colored on an empty barf bag and put lots of stickers on it as well. You may laugh, but it was about an hours worth of fun!
